Understanding the Social Threat of COVID-19

As the pandemic COVID-19 spreads globally, UMBC and UMD researchers have received a grant to examine the intensified discrimination against Chinese-Americans. The team hopes to identify ways to promote resilience and support children and families during this challenging time.

Over 43% of UMBC’s Fullbright U.S. Student Program applicants earned awards, making the university a Fullbright Top Producing Institution. Having access to international learning experiences prepares students for global opportunities in the future.
