SUMMARY:Maryland Bionetworking Summit
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our bioscience-focused networking event series designed to highlight the area’s unique life science ecosystem and to promote interactions between its diverse stakeholders.   \n\n\n\nSponsored and organized by the University of Maryland\, Baltimore County (UMBC) at the Universities at Shady Grove\, the Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research (IBBR)—a joint partnership between the University of Maryland and NIST— and the University of Maryland\, Baltimore (UMB)\, this event brings together scientists from academia\, government\, and industry for an evening of science\, networking\, and conversation. \n\n\n\nThe keynote speaker will be Dr. Patrick Hanley\, Chief and Director of Cellular Therapy at Children’s National\, where he will present Translating Cell and Gene Therapies Targeting Cancer and Viral Infections to Patients. \n\n\n\nThis in-person evening event will consist of a networking social with refreshments\, followed by a talk at the Biomedical Sciences and Engineering (BSE) Education Facility at the Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville.
