Register your vehicle for a digital parking pass
A virtual parking pass valid for the Catonsville campus is included with in-person/hybrid course mandatory fees. You should register your vehicle(s) through Parking Services; parking permits for the academic year are generally available August – August.
Order your textbooks
The UMBC bookstore maintains a list of course materials for UMBC classes, as long as the instructor has provided a textbook list. Having your textbooks before the start of the semester is an easy way to make sure you are ready for your education.
Textbooks not listed on the bookstore page may normally be found on the course syllabus.
Get to know the campus
You can find the UMBC Campus Map online, or use this 360 degree virtual tour. Campus is conveniently located near the highway, only minutes away from Downtown Baltimore, and provides dining options, recreation centers, and more.
Get your Campus ID Card
Students at the Catonsville campus must get a Campus ID Card from the Campus Card office, located in the University Center.

Register your phone number and/or email in the E2Campus alert system to receive updates about emergency situations and campus closures as soon as they are available.
