Graduate students at UMBC may enroll full-time or part-time on a semester-to-semester basis without any need for paperwork or approval. However, you are expected to enroll in each consecutive spring and fall semester while pursuing your degree. More information about this continuous enrollment policy, as well as other expectations and policies, can be found in the Graduate School’s website and the Graduate Catalog. *Please note that international students attending on an F-1 visa must carry a full time course load (9 credits or more per semester).
