Master’s degree-seeking students are charged a $100 matriculation fee for each of their first two semesters of enrollment ($200 total). The fees are posted to student accounts automatically. Certificate and non-degree students are not charged matriculation or orientation fees. A certificate diploma fee is charged when a certificate diploma application is submitted to the Graduate School. Cost of Attendance
The UMBC Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships publishes a yearly Cost of Attendance (COA). COA is an estimate of the costs a student can reasonably expect to pay for tuition and fees, housing, transportation, books and materials, miscellaneous living expenses, and loan fees (as applicable).
Financial Aid
Departmental aid is not available through this program. Because this program is designed primarily for working professionals, graduate assistantships are limited. However, students may apply for graduate assistantships offered through other academic departments and, if eligible, can apply for federal aid and support. For detailed information on financial aid for prospective graduate students, refer to Financial Aid and Scholarships.
