UMBC Professor Receives Fulbright Awards to Teach Graphic Design in Ethiopia
Guenet Abraham, associate professor of graphic design, will be extending her stay in Ethiopia to continue her research and teach graphic design. Currently, she teaches at Alle School of Arts and Design at Addis Ababa University. Her curriculum addresses the needs of the university students with their work on helping to grow Ethiopia’s economy.
UMBC Shriver Center to Host Exploratory Event of The Catonsville Nine
The Catonsville Nine was a group of non-violent protesters during the Vietnam War era. The Shriver Center will explore their story fifty years later throughout the month of May. The UMBC community looks forward to expanding the public memory of this historic group.
