UMBC’s Graduate Program in Community Leadership and Thread partnered together for a semester project to add a new mentorship concept to their current model.
Graduate student, Keenan Hickman, paired up with his mentor from thread.org, Aaryn McCutchan, Director of Community Partnerships to learn firsthand the essential skills he needs to be an effective community leader.
During his time interning with Thread last semester, he shared valuable ideas on a new mentorship concept that Thread will be implementing. His idea is to take advantage of the technology and cast a wider net to bring in mentors from around the world to share their experiences with Thread’s youth.
