The Learning and Performance Technology Graduate Programs at UMBC (formerly known as ISD) are completely online. Students often ask about the quality of student interaction. Our answer is always simple. It’s an engaging experience. Students often say that they’ve had more interaction with people in their online classes versus other in-person classes they may have taken previously. The reason is because class sizes are rather small. They average about 12 students. So people enrolled in our online program have a high ratio and high probability of making connections with other students and instructors.
We welcome you to get in touch with us to find out how you can claim your future with this completely online graduate program.
I graduated with a Masters in Instructional System Development from UMBC in 2011. It looks like that “title” is not used any more. What is the appropriate way for me to show this educational experience on my resume?
M.A. Learning and Performance Technology?
M.A. Instructional System Development?
M.A. Education?
Something else?
Please let me know. Thank you.
Hi Larry,
You graduated with the M.A. in Instructional Systems Development degree. That is what you should continue to use.
Thanks for reaching out!
