Evan Avila Wins First Place in 2018 iOme Challenge to Help Millenials Save for Retirement
Evan Avila ‘20, economics and political science, won first place in the national 2018 iOme Challenge, which aims to encourage students all over the United States to find solutions to help millennials save for retirement. Avila went on to present his paper to Capitol Hill on June 20.
Report finds University System of Maryland a Model in Cybersecurity Development
The Building a Diverse Cybersecurity Talent Ecosystem to Address National Security Needs report identified and recognized the University System of Maryland’s efforts to increase the number of students who earn degrees in cyber-related fields.
UMBC Signs Agreement to Develop Cyber Workforce
UMBC joins the frontlines, signing a three-nation agreement with the Keio Research Institute and the Royal Holloway University of London in Japan at the sixth International Cybersecurity Symposium to collaborate on the cyber workforce development.
